Evening glitz  and daytime glamour

As a Product Designer and the lead Graphic Artist at Global Accessory Resource, I designed for Cache at the height of of their success in the mid 2000’s, when this national omni-channel and in-mall specialty retailer of women's apparel and accessories was the ultimate destination for sparkly night-time glitz and glam.  Riding on their current success, the company extended its product offering to include day time looks and accessories.  We designed sparkling evening bags and then brought some of this same glamour to more practical day-time bags…that always had special little touches that nodded to Cache’s glamorous roots.

Cache was proud of its distinctive evening style, yet they wanted their daytime collections to be on trend.  Much of my time was devoted to analyzing fashion runways and then creating mood boards that could marry these trends to Cache’s signature style.  From there I would work with my team at Global Accessory Resource to select the perfect materials, often those with extra glam touches, such as from python print leathers to sparkling fabrics to sequins, rhinestones and shining hardware to create statement-making evening bags and sensational daytime bags.  Then it was my duty to draw up each piece in the collection and finish each piece with the perfect trim details, custom-designed hardware and embellishments.
